I needed a photo for a theme, "green". So I tried to think of something a little more creative that just somehtinng green in color. This is what I came up with. What do you think about it?

I think that this is a very creative composition. I think that it's worth experimenting with. The "empty" space in the right hand side has a lot of brow which I find a bit distracting. I tried cropping out almost everything but the computer screen. That left an entirely different "feeling" but it worked pretty good. These are just ideas, something that you might play around with, not criticism. I look at all of your postings, and I think that you have a good photographer's eye. I wish that I could do as well. Sincerely,Doral

Hi Doral and thanks for the comments. I do have a shot I took with the computer more centered and not a lot of green grass to the side. I left this shot the way I took it just beacuse the theme was green for the photo catagory. I will post the other shot for you to see. Take care!

Creative indeed! I'm a fan of off-center shots in general, which is odd because symmetry is more pleasing to me in most other artistic avenues. Maybe more of worm's eye view, though that might hide the keyboard. I do like this one more than the other two you've since posted.

Hi Christina, I like this one out of the three. This one shows more green, the others seem more about the laptop. I think finding some nicer grass would be better, the browner area is distracting.

you matched the green on the screen with the grass well and i do like it off center. that said, my mental image of green is brighter & lighter. i'm not irish. more yellow? green grass & sunny summer days...

i think its a little dark. photoshop the whole picture lighter and or turn up your screens backlight? it would be nice to get an even tone across the screen, which, depending on the screen type, you might not be able to do except by shooting straight on.

you could also get rid of those icons on the screen by right clicking your screen > view > and click off 'show desktop icons'. great amature shot, with a little tweeking, gateway might even like it! jim
